Hey guys,
I’m rebuilding an old family pocket watch, and am trying to decide if I should polish the nickel silver (coin silver) case, or leave the years of tarnish in place.
The case needs cleaning for sure, I mean this has to be one of the dirtiest watches I have ever worked on, really nasty. But the outside of the case looks pretty cool the way it is.
I have a new crystal for it and I’ll clean up the dial. The movement is pretty much done, just waiting for a new mainspring.
