I bought this Alpnach in November’12 and wore it on the original leather for a couple of years before switching to nylon. As I wore it for everything, it got a bit dirty/sweaty and began to crack, so I went with nylon that I could swap out pretty easily as needed for cleaning, etc. and placed the leather back in the box.
