Does Anyone Know What These Art Deco-y Numbers Are Called?

They're absolutely stunning and I haven't seen them on many Breitlings. This is a Ref. 1188. The serial number on the caseback dates it to 1950, which checks out in terms of dial, movement and plating (chrome).

I'd love to know if this type of hour marker has an "official" name?
