What Happened to the Everyday Watch? Or are We WIS Out of Touch?

I was reviewing threads today on every day Watches and of course I see the usual recommendations – rolex explore, Aqua, Tara, and a bunch of other usual suspects.

now here is the thing. I live in Northern Virginia, and there is money here. Lots of tech companies, lots of fancy cars, expensive houses. That said, as I go through my daily life in this area, I hardly ever and lately never see anyone wearing watches that we would nominate as everyday watches.
