I am beginning to believe that the resale value of watches has nothing to do with the quality of the in-house movement or watchmaking workmanship. It…
Thoughts on Zenith Defy Revival A3642?
The Zenith Defy Revival A3642 is on my radar. The red dial looks amazing. I also think the gray dial (which some say it is brown?) is also attractive.
I’d appreciate any input from members who own/owned this model, EG how easily does it scratched, what is the precision of your movement, etc.
I like the unique case shape, and this would be my first Zenith. Admittedly, the step ladder bracelet does not appeal to me much so I will probably put it on a leather or rubber…

However, Philippe Henri was not the father of Louise Philippine, Georges…

US-based owner needing service for a Chronomaster 01.0240.410
I love the Chronomaster 01.0240.410 so much, I bought in both the silver and black dial versions.
I keep the watches on winder as the complications are too hard to set from scratch. I know this is controversial, but it is what it is.
The black dial i…
Continue readingZenith pocket watch chronographs and pocket stopwatches
this thread is about a special type of Zenith watch, namely pocket stopwatches and pocket watch chronographs. Zenith began developing them around the turn of the century in 1900, or rather, became interested in watches of this type. This apparently wasn’t immediately successful – the first chronograph I know of is a LeCoultre one with a Zenith bridge. So, it was purchased. I haven’t seen such a watch in the original, but there is a website where this watch is…
