Here’s the story.

Long before I was born, when Germany invaded Poland, my father fled Poland and made his way to Portugal on foot where he took a steamer to England. There he joined the Polish navy in absentia and was on several different ships.

In June 1940 he was aboard the ORP Kujawiak (formerly HMS Oakley) during operation harpoon to resupply Malta. They lost several British combat ships and several freighters during the convoy. Late on the night…

Flieger Classic losing 20 seconds a day

Hi everyone. Have been a very happy owner of Flieger Classic for 3 years and time-wise, it has been great and only needed to make a minor time adjustment every month or so. The last few months though I’ve noticed it is running slow and if I don’t adjust it once a week it will be well out of time. Just did a check and it amounts to losing 20 seconds a day – not good!
