Hardlex rant.

If hardlex is soft enough to scratch, how comes it’s impossible to remove said scratch with polywatch????

Furthermore, if it’s too hard to buff out a scratch with poly watch, why is it so easy to put said scratch in it in the first place.

Seiko SNA225 Low Battery – How Long Will It Last?

I have a Seiko SNA225, and recently, it started showing the low battery warning by skipping seconds (moving in 2-second intervals). I was curious about how long it would continue running like this before stopping completely.
It’s been three weeks now, and the watch is still ticking. I’m wondering if anyone has experience with this and can share insights on how long I can expect it to last before the battery fully drains.
Would appreciate any input!
Thanks!

The Credor Thread

I’ve been getting more and more into Credor’s lately and have realized that there is still a dearth of information regarding them (in English at least). I’ve been making my purchases slowly and with some painstaking research, so I thought it would be good to have a small repository here on different models, movements, and thoughts on this branch of Seiko. Just some short thoughts and quick overviews of different models.

I’ll start off with my initial thoughts on my most recent acquisition…

This is absurdly satisfying

SLA047, limited edition, an awesome green dial and matching green rubber strap. Got it well below the obscene Brazilian MSRP, in mint condition.

Very comfortable despite the hefty proportions and a nice surprise for a medium-sized wrist.

Zaratsu polish is a feast to the eyes, butter-like crown operation.

Accuracy is 0/+2 spd. It’s Superlative Chronometer turf, folks. I know that the 8L35 isn’t regulated and accuracy may vary a lot, but I got lucky on this one.

Suddenly, I don’t want a…

4502 vs 5625 Hi-Beat

Good afternoon everyone,

I have been reading/researching what I can find and doing as much viewing of older vintage King Seikos as I can find. I really like the 4502 series, especially the 7001s. I’ve watched on youtube where someone says yes they were probably the most accurate of their time due to the 36,000 vph, but like a hi performance F1, they also require frequent upkeep like an F1. The person said the 5625 movement, albeit less beats/hr, is still a very accurate movement and is…

Is the SAB065 Cocktail Time a dress watch?

I’ve been watching too many youtube videos…

To me it looks like a dress watch a lot of the time. I have mine on a blue croc leather strap and believe it looks awesome. I wear this watch often when I wear a jacket. In some reckonings it pushes the upper size limit for a true dress watch. It has a date. Some say that complication takes it out of the pure dress watch category (pedants).

When I go to a wedding or something I tend to default to my 1957 Bulova. It’s undoubtedly a…
