Frankenwatch or Legitimate Rare Alternative Dial Color Helmet Chronograph?
I suspect, though, that this is simply a champagne gold dial from a 6139-601X “Bruce Lee” watch slapped onto a white “Stormtrooper” helmet 6139-7100 chronograph.
What do you think?

I have had it in my collection for quite some time. Perhaps the perfect watch for all occasions.
Crown Tube Thread Repair
I’ve seen numerous threads (pardon the pun) around peoples concerns over screw down crowns and Seiko’s use of permanent epoxy/laser welding to secure the tube Into place.
The manufacturing method they use means that in most cases of cross threaded crown tubes, the service centre won’t fix the case, they’ll simply replace it.
If like me, you like the idea of a watch lasting several lifetimes, the thought of having a new…
Another cyclops removed successfully: King Turtle
Ed Harris didn’t have a cyclops on his turtle.
I’ve been holding off removing the cyclops. I kind of felt that a cyclops was a sign to me that I had a king turtle and should appreciate it. Ah screw it.
I watched the videos and gave it a shot. It work…

I’m talking about all the colors, not just the classic yellow.
The guy I bought my first Pogue from had 15 other examples.
And I just bought my second Pogue, the coke speedtimer variant.
That seller was a collector as well.
Now I feel the strong draw to buy the blue, silver, and teal dials too.
If I’m truly psychotic I’ll then hunt for proof, resist, and blank variants of each.
Then maybe the different…

Greetings!
Brand new here, and brand new to forums in general. I was hoping y’all could help me out on this one.
I acquired this Seiko 6139-6002 from Ebay a few years ago as a prop for a short stage play centered around the timepiece that I wrote/pro…

What if we could only have one watch?
Would it be auto or quartz? Diver or dress? Vintage or modern?
I have often thought about this question over the years and find myself torn between the different models available, but in the end, I always come back to a Seiko Diver.
Before the mm300 series came out, I would have chosen a basic 6309 diver for it robust movement, which seems to have an “everlasting gobstopper” sort of quality to it. Even in the…
