Hey there hi there,

I was hoping to talk to you friends about vintage LCD digital Seiko.
I’ve been buying Seiko’s for over a decade now, fairly obsessively.
They’ve all been automatic or manual wind.
That is, until I saw a sweet 1970s digital Seiko at a local shop.
It was the first-ever-digital model for the brand, and I loved the feel.
The looks are hit or miss, but all distinctly retro 70s/80s.
When I think of digital watches, Ive always thought plastic.

Seikos with (non-mod) skeleton hands

I acquired this vintage Crown (caseback says 15002) primarily because of the dial and hands.

I don’t remember seeing too many other Seikos with non-mod skeleton hands – I only remember them being used for GMT hands on the Prospex Kinetic GMTs (SUN019/SUN021/SUN023 etc) and the Spacewalk (SPS005).

Does anyone have other Seikos that came with OEM skeleton hands?

SBBN-015 Service Recommendation

Hi All- I emailed the Seiko Watch Service Center USA to find out about getting a battery change and pressure test for my trusty MarineMaster. They replied: “We apologize for any inconveniences, unfortunately due to the age of the watch and discontinued parts, we will not be able to repair the watch.”

Oofa! Not what I expected. Citizen keeps faithfully servicing my 25 year old Aqualand Duplex. I don’t use the watch for diving and could live with a simple battery change. Does anyone…
