The 1st Gen Samurai thread

Samurais have become so popular that I decided to make this thread for the 1st Gen watches, made between 2004 and 2008. There were only 5 stock models, plus a number of special editions. I hope they might be of interest to newbies and longtime fans alike. Any contributions are welcome here.

No sir, your smoke alarms are not working…

Today I was inspecting a house for the C of O, Certificate of Occupancy. I grabbed the small step ladder and reached up to push the button to activate the smoke alarms. While reaching, my arm stretches beyond my cuff and I get a great shot of my Seiko 5. This has been a great watch, I did have it regulated after a year, and it keeps great time. It’s has seen, mud, snow, heat and has been submerged multible times. No complaints ! I have been looking at the Baby Alpinist, in green, but i’m…

A question I can’t find an answer to in the manual for Seiko SNJ033, advice welcome.

Hi Everyone
It’s 5/2/25 or in US terms 2/5/25, I have today received a SNJ033 p1 , I have read the manual but have a question that I can’t find an answer to and it’s this.
Do you have to screw down all the buttons on the watch as if I was going to dive , just to have a shower ?

I am never going to dive but obviously I am going to shower , I am disabled , I just love the design of the watch which is why I bought it.
Any and all advice would be welcome, thank you.

***Official NEW Seiko 38.5mm Solar Diver Thread (SNE569, SNE571, SNE573, SNE575)***

Thought I’d start a thread on these new Seiko 38.5mm Solar Divers which appear to be out in the wild now. I’ve seen a few Watchuseek posts with people wearing these. Please post up your photos and and relevant videos. I might pick up one of these in the future if I can get a good deal. I’ve hyperlinked the model names with the product links on the Seiko Global web page. I like the size and the fact that they have a sapphire crystal, but a bit disappointed the bracelet models only have folded…

Hi guys!

There is a lot threads that started as “New model coming in XX/XXXX”, “Holy ****, look at these new watches..”, “Upcoming Seiko XXXX lineup” etc. Nowadays these threads left behind.
