got for a bunch of dollars this old raketa copernicus first edition 1970s :

for the fun of it, I’d like to try a small restoration. things that I am aware:

  • the case it’s not probably its own
  • the hands are not its own
  • the dial would profit a cleanup

for the case I’m not too worried, can even remain as it
for the hands: I have this pic as reference…

Current state of Russian watch producers?

The Russian watch world seems to constantly change. Which companies still make Russian watches? Here’s what I know off the top of my head:
Vostok: Unstoppable and always awesome.
Volmax: The Sturmanskie website hasn’t been updated since 2016 (English version). On the Russia2all site it lists Aviator by Volmax and Sturmanskie alone. Was Sturmanskie sold off?
Strela: making watches in Germany with Russian movements.

I know I’m missing several here.
