1970s Submariner – dial texture

Below is an example from a 1971 ‘meter -first’ watch. The lacquer of the dial and the hour markers is granular, porous. It looks great . Which dials had this texture in the 1970s or did all of them and it is just a question of taking a picture with a good camera ? Or is it part of an aging process and thus depends on external factors ( humidity, exposure to the elements) ? Wuld be glad to be enlightened.

Anyone regret selling your Polar/White 16570?

I don’t have one, in fact have never owned any Rolex, but am considering an original owner 1991 Polar 16570 [edit]. I’m about 2 to 5 years late to the party, story of my life, but can’t drive by staring into the rear view mirror.

Anyway, I read a few threads where people sold their Polars after prices popped. Looking at this watch and digging it as a non-Rolex guy, hard to imagine there aren’t a few people missing that spot in their watch box.
