Most military watches have them.
Ya, I get why they are there, but I do wonder if they are REALLY necessary toTHAT extent.
Do they REALLY make it easier to read the time at a glance?
Don’t other factors affect legibility more anyway?

I used to love those ZENO-BASEL watches when I started out: those with ALL 12 numbers in bold all around the dial.

Of course, some designs are SO established, that there is no point in fighting…

Decided to pull out my sweet Raymond Weil ‘ Freelander ‘ chronograph for the weekend , its a very nice watch in all ways .
Look at these numbers !!! , basically perfect . It has the Valjoux 7755 chronograph movement inside .

And the wrist shot out in the sun . It looks big on wrist but its only the photo as the watch is 41mm in diameter , I like this watch in every way …
