Is lug width a purchase consideration?

I was looking at the Longines Heritage Silver Arrow today and was struck by the fact that my first thought was not size or price but lug width, where did that come from.
I’ve never worried about lug width before, if I liked the watch, I would gather info, think about, rationalize it, and buy it.
Is lug width a consideration when you are buying a watch?
FYI: Checked previous posts and found one from 3 years ago “lug width annoyance” but no survey.
