A Purple Watch That’s Actually Purple!

My watch collection has been mostly complete since 2023 as there isn’t really anything left I feel I want and that would also fit into my rotation.

The one minor exception is a purple dial three handed watch (I don’t need any more chronometers or GMT watches either).

Not particularly important and I haven’t thought about it much until recently purchasing a nice deep purple dress shirt.

Of course a black dial would still work perfectly fine, but this did reignite the idea of the last color…

Lots of integrated bracelets out there!

A few years ago there was a run of high end watch brands all bringing out their own integrated bracelet watches (theoretically to compete with the “traditional” Patek Phillipe Nautilus, Vacheron Constantin Overseas, and Audemars Piguet Royal Oak). A whole lot of other brands followed suit, so I started creating a collage of all of them as they came out – from mainstream brands anyway. There’s a large slew of them from micros and non-mainstream brands too. (Where whether or not a brand was…

PAM Appreciation Post

Panerai is a love-it-or-hate-it proposition — I get it. But I most definitely fall into the former category. They’re the brand that got me into watches.

My wife wanted to gift me a nice watch for my 40th birthday. A good friend of ours, who’s a total …

Real-World Experience: Solid Buckles vs. Spring Bar on NATO?

Apologies if this is beating a dead horse (err… shell cordovan strap…see what I did there?), but I’m way down the rabbit hole here on a simple buckle. I’ve seen a few related posts, but no “this happened to me” stories.

My questions are these:

Has anyone ever had any honest, real-world experience with a springbar failing on a NATO buckle resulting in loss?

OR

Has anyone ever been injured/potentially injured a result of a strap/bracelet being caught on another object…

Private Messages

I know this probably has been covered before , but my apologies , I can’t seem to find an answer to this . I just recently registered and was approved as a member , but I can’t send a private message to another member via the forum . I know the rule to post in the Sales Corner section requires one to be a member for 90 days and have 100 posts , but does this rule also apply to sending private messages ? Thanks .
