### WRUW Saturday 1st March 2025 ###

Welcome to the weekend folks – and to the first day of spring in the Northern Hemisphere (none of this waiting around for the spring equinox, I’ve had enough of winter).

Anyway, I’ll kick things off with my IWC Aquatimer Chrono – post what you’re wearing!

New Watch Day – Ultramarine Albatross

Just arrived and its a stunner. I love watches with numbers at 3/6/9/12 and with no date. Once I saw this I could not unsee it and a great deal popped up on a search.

Website to the watch: https://www.ultramarine-watches.com/product-page/albatros9021

It has an Eterna Cal. 3902A, no date, running the show. I’ve been collecting movements more than brands or design. The finish on this is very nice.

Monaco or Speedmaster?

MERCY….I don’t NEED another watch! BUT…

I want another chronograph. My wife bought me a Seiko Speedtimer…I’ve never wanted a chronograph so it was my first one. I love the thing and I didn’t expect to! Now I have a little chronograph itch.

Omega Speedmaster… You know…it’s really a 10 out of 10 watch. Great looking…casual…formal…stylish…timeless…and kinda COMMON. That’s the worst thing about it. It lacks the uniqueness some of us like. Seems to hold their value…

Timex Marlin reissues

Hey-a, gang!

I have quite a few Timex watches in the collection. Most are older, some are brand new. I’ve always been drawn to the Marlin models, and most of their more plain everyday offerings.

This one was found for next to nothing. A very classic design indeed…no frills (except the 21 real jewels). Love it none the less.

Then this came out recently and I was intrigued. Mainly for the color and the 3-6-9-1Z markers. I came very close to owning…

Hello All. New member, frequent lurker. Thanks to all for contributing to make this site a great resource.

Finally joined because I’m looking to purchase my first “nice” watch and I’d appreciate leads or general buying advice. I’ll also cross- post in WTB as appropriate.

I’m fairly certain I’ve settled on a BB36– the original with the smiley dial– in black. Leads or alternative suggestions welcomed.

Use case:
This will be my do-everything watch. I work in the outdoor recreation…
