Experience with Sugess Tourbillion?

Image

I’ve become interested in this watch, it’s a beauty, especially at this price. But, I have a concern. It’s 41mm which is larger than I normally wear in a 3-hander. 37 – 38 is my sweet spot. I do have tool watches, a dive watch and a chronograph, that are 42mm, but I’m ok with those kinds of watches at that size. I could pull off 41mm if I wanted to, but my concern is that the white dial and narrow bezel will make it wear much bigger, more like 43mm…

New Arrival!

Yesterday I posted a TB article on the Casio Forester. I was smitten so I ordered one yesterday for less than $22+tax on Amazon & it arrived today! I mean it is what it is – an inexpensive quartz watch. But for $20, it will be a great little guy to…

Longines Spirit 37mm, Tudor Ranger 39mm or ?

With the caveat that I’m sure this has been beaten to death, I’d like some opinions on this.
I am not very knowledgeable on this topic.

I have a JLC Reverso that I can wear with business / business casual attire.

I would like to have something tougher and less dressy for weekends, running errands, doing chores etc.

I’m not attracted to dive watches or pilot’s watches – I’m not a diver or a pilot and I don’t need most of their functionality.

I would like something simple, easy to read…

Unusual watches. Let’s see them!

This is my only “gold” watch. It is a vintage Orient M Force watch, and has several unusual features of note.

First, there is the power reserve at the 12 position. The chapter ring is rotated by a crown at 4, and has numbers from 1 to 31 which can be rotated to line up with days of the week located on the edge of the dial, so by rotating the chapter ring to line up with any of the correct day of the week, the date can be determined for any day in the current month. Handy in the days when…

The Gimlet – a Fears x Studio Underd0g collab

I will admit to being a sucker for Studio Underd0g watches. Unfortunately, I always miss out on the models that I want to get.

Hopefully, this time I may be able to get one:

38mm, fully lumed dial, Sellita hand wound movement, sapphire… I think it looks good.

Affordable quartz pilot chronograph recommendations in 2025

Hi everyone,

I’m wondering what would be your recommendation for a pilot chronograph watch with the following specs

  • 38/39/40mm
  • 3 subdials chrono
  • prominent pushers
  • quartz movement
  • preferably under or around $500

I really like the look of Longines Big Eye, so something that is similiar to this would be great.
So far I cwc chrono is the closest I can find.

Thanks!
