Hey friends! Oddly enough I’m in the category of folks who’ve become busier during the covid thing. I consider it a blessing. But the strange thing is that even though I have less time, I’ve started reading more. By “more,” I mean I started reading books. I typically don’t read anything besides technical articles, manuals, etc. But a friend lent me this book and I can’t put it down. So…what are you reading???

Hidden gems from the NASA photo archive

While sitting at my desk during the lunch hour, I did a cursory search for photos in the official NASA image library that may be of interest to members of this forum. I was a bit surprised by how quickly I struck gold. As I search deeper in this vast library I’ll post images that I consider to be true gems. Thrift shop shopping WDUBT

Well we don’t seem to have a specific thread for thrift shopping and as I am always browsing the many thrift shop / charity shops in my area I will kick it off with my WDUBT ( what did you buy today).

I am always attracted to Asian crafts and related and came across this pure silver (1000) Japanese Saki drinking bowl for US$0.60 and at exactly 80 grams was a steal for melt value of US$80.00.
And this lovely Japanese ceramic plate for 60 cents.
