Omega SMP Black Quartz: Dial Differences Between 2264.50 vs 212.30.41.61.01.001

I’m mainly looking to see if someone can tell me whether the dial on the 212.30.41.61.01.001 is glossier and/or darker than on the 2264.50.

I have lately been on a drive to replace some of my auto watches with quartz and for a diver, I recently acquired a 2264.50. However, I discovered the existence of the 212.30.41.61.01.001 on which I love the applied logo and indices as well as the fact that the waves extend all the way to the edge of the dial. Omega SM PO with calibre 9900 dead for third time in 4 years!!!

I’m feeling so frustrated with my PO chronograph right now. It has the 9900 movement and this morning when I woke up it had stopped. I thought it may have just run out of power reserve so I manually wound it and nothing. Just dead. This will be the third time now in about 4 years since new with the same issue.

Anyone else had this kind of trouble with the 9900? I’m just curious if there are any known issues with this movement similar to what the Speedmaster had (bushing issue).

We’ve been moving into our new office/workshop this week, so I was getting home quite tired by end-of-day. Thankfully, the flu that I’ve had over the past few weeks has finally subsided.

This was going to be a longer post but I don’t want to go into the details and I don’t want to lower the mood of this thread.
Our cat Bowie died suddenly on Wednesday evening and we’re all feeling devastated and miserable about it.
