2254 Bezel Swap Fitment and Part Numbers
I want to change the bezel on my 2254 to a black Bond style with the smaller numerals. I’m keeping the original bezel obviously. I don’t want to just change the insert, but the entire bezel. Can anyone help me figure out the correct part number that wo…

Peter Blake bracelet on a 2531.80?
I just purchased a used 2531.80 from an established and well reviewed Japanese dealer using Chrono24. The watch arrived yesterday and in good condition, and matched the online pictures. The serial number etched on the back of the lug matches the one on…
Continue readingWhere to get a vintage speedmaster serviced these days?
I’ve had my (inherited) dad’s watch for about a decade now, and it’s time to get it serviced as the mainspring feels like it’s broken inside. It’s one of the very early 861s, with pre-moon case back and flat link bracelet. My dad wore this watch whil…

I’m having a CT scan done next Tuesday morning. I’ll be quite surprised if they tell me that my arteries are clogged. This may just be hereditary.
Looks like 2025 is turning out to be the year of health…

Second time owning a Speedmaster
Back in 2019 I decided to sell my 1861 Hesalite Speedmaster as I found I wasn’t wearing it enough and was intrigued by the GS 9F GMT watches. Since that time I have secured a GS SBGN003 and a SMP300 42.
All was well until I started seeing more phot…
