I’ll try to ask again, because the previous thread was closed and that wasn’t what I meant. Most of the comments were not nice and not substantive. Yes, I know that this is not a Seiko SRPH57. The bezel is not the same and there is no engraving of a turtle on the back. The question is what is it, because it is not a fake either. The workmanship is identical to other Seikos. Continue readingI’m new here and am looking for some advice. Currently wearing a Speedmaster date and am looking for a diver style watch to add to my collection. I’m trying to stay below $2k.
I’ve narrowed it down to a Longines blue Hydroconquest with a ceramic bezel or a black certified Seamaster 2201.50 from 2007 that looks great and has been cleaned and gone over by a watchmaker. Both are under $2k but the Seamaster is about $400 more.
I would appreciate your thoughts.
