Vintage Longines – Can’t find the model

Hello, this watch belonged to my great grandfather. I just got a hold of it. It’s not working (I can set the time but can’t wind it), so I opened it up to see if there was some info on the movement, but I can’t find anything online about it.

On the dial it says “Longines Suiza”, which would be Switzerland in Spanish. It has blueish hands and a heavy patina. The glass (seems to be plastic IMO) is heavily scratched and cracked.

Inside, on the movement, it says “Longines 7024138”. It doesn’t…

Replaced the clasp on my Spirit Zulu Time

I have to open by saying that I absolutely love the Longines Spirit Zulu Time. It’s one of those watches where everything came together just right. The font of the applied numerals and on the bezel insert, the dial accents and printing, the applied elements on the dial, the style of the crystal, just everything.

What model do you wish Longines would re-release?

I’ve been looking at a lot of vintage Longines lately, and they have some fantastic models. If I had to pick a type of model that Longines should re-introduce, it would be the VHP. But, in the Ultra-Quartz case:

Old Automatic Longines

Does anyone here have any info on this model? I inherited it and don’t know much about it other than that it has been unused for a very long time and was replaced by an Omega Quartz also a few decades ago. It can be set, it runs a little by touching it but has no power reserve. Is this a watch that is appropriate to service, any value as is and value on these with the movement in order? Unfortunately I don’t have the tools to open it available.

Longines Record Automatic White Matt Dial L2.820.8.11.2

I purchased this watch on Jomashop and it should be arriving next week. I thought this watch was solid gold case, bezel and crown. On their website, it doesn’t mention it being capped. Now, I’m hearing the crown and bezel could be capped. Do any of you know the answer to this? What’s solid gold on this watch? Everything? Thanks
