In 1933 the technical department of the German Aviation Ministry (RLM: Reichs-Luftfahrtministerium) tested the hour angle watch of
Longines based on developments by Weems and Lindbergh.
See the att. spec Luftwaffe document of the ‘Zeitwinkeluhr’ with 180° dial and 47,5 mm diameter (Fl 22604 of 1933) imported by Paul Baumeister Berlin.

Weems dial query

Curious about this one that’s coming to the auction block.
Is this the correct dial for what this purports to be?
I’d have thought it was a US dial as the style corresponds with those I’ve seen, as well as having “SWISS” rather than “SWISS MADE”.

Vintage Longines metal bracelets

I am not sure if this topic has been discussed here before?
Original Longines metal bracelets from the fifties and sixties seem to be rare.

We know that some Conquest models like the power Reserve were available with such straps. Also the first Longines diving watch Nautilus from 1959.

Two of them are marked JB Champion on the back.
I can’t find any manufacturer’s mark on any of the other straps.

For which models were these straps originally produced?
Who were the manufacturers?

Been eyeing the Master Collection Moonphase Retrograde– Where is it?
