Opinions sought — Parmigiani or Glasshute?

I have a birthday coming up in a few weeks. I am torn between two gifts for me. One is Parmigiani Fleurier Tonda PF/Sport. I’m not sure which one just yet, but not a Chrono. (I have sporty chronos already). I want to keep it simple. Very high quality, inside baseball, YKIYK. The second is a Glasshutte Original Senator perpetual calendar with the silver/grey frosted dial. Advice for trying on vintage AP Royal Oaks?

I’ve recently been considering consolidating a few pieces for a vintage Royal Oak – a 33mm 56175, 56303, or a 36mm 4100. Trouble is I’ve never actually tried any of these on, and I’m hesitant to sell off 3-4 watches and shell out for something I’m unsure of.

Anyone have any suggestions for how I can see some of these in the steel? Or any watches that come close to how they wear? I’m in the SF Bay Area if that helps, always keep an eye on HQ Milton in case they get some in but that hasn’t…
