How to tweak a 99xx twin quartz Seiko caliber?
Is it possible to tweak a 99xx Seiko caliber as a user without a 99?
Secondary and Main quartz, which to turn and how much, and without temperature regulated environment? Is it even possible?
Any tips & trix are appreciated
QT-99 for sale on eBay but already gone
Anyway, when I was going to bed last night eBay emailed a hit on a saved search for a QT-99 for sale. Even though I have one I guess I never deleted the saved search. This is the first chance I’ve had to come here and post it for whomever is looking for one, but sadly it has already sold. I say “sadly” but if…

Affordable reference (GPS?) timepieces for video rating of my HAQ watches
I want to dive into checking the rate of my small collection of HAQ (& RC!) watches (& clocks!) and the video method seems to be an accessible way to go. My Google Pixel 6 Pro does 240FPS slo-mo, which is nice, so I’m just looking for a time reference. I’ve seen a few GPS supervised clocks at reasonable (to me) prices:

Longines VHP GMT seems date programmable from the app?
I just received my brand new vhp gmt a couple days ago. Date was fine, time wasn’t and my phone (2024 model samsung) wasn’t compatible with the app.
So I set the time and second for home manually.
Based on what i’ve read, you can’t go further than one day forward or back on this watch.
Whats strange was instead of a numbered date (31st), it showed the longines logo. Read somewhere that this is some kinda easter egg so I didn’t sweat it.
I wanted to…
Why few/no GS 9F with colorful dial
Dear HAQ friends,
I wonder why there few or no grand Seiko 9F quartz models with colorful dials compared to, for example, the grand Seiko spring drive models?
Technologically, a quartz movement without solar should not imply any restrictions.
I am thi…
