Sub200 bracelet help (spring bar won’t fit?!)

Dear all,
I took the bead of rice bracelet off my new sub200 to resize, but for the life of me I can put it back.

I can’t even put the spring bar through the endlink and the link.

I even try to just put the spring bar though bead itself. Didn’t work!

Am I missing something? How would that be possible?

(Edited: more details)

I was working on the watch on my dining table with a desk mat, and there shouldn’t be any spare spring bar there. Only the two spring bars for the lugs and the one…

20mm flare-less bracelet option for 300T

After extensive searching (and some help with where to look from another forum member @Rtheff) I finally found a bracelet that will work with the Doxa clasp and end links on my 300T that doesn’t have the historical accurate but pretty ugly flare to it and I’m very pleased. Only $40 shipped from Germany to the US.

The good:
– Finishing looks the same (polished is reflecting different in the below because of the difference in middle link profile)
-Clasp and end links both…

Recommendation for first Doxa?

I’ve been collecting watches for the past few years, and have about a dozen watches, mostly divers and chronographs (or a mix of both). I’d love to add a Doxa to my collection, and am leaning toward Professional with the classic orange, but really like the Aquamarine colorway as well.

Most of my watches are in the 40-42mm range (7-1/4″ wrist), so I’m leaning toward the SUB 300 or 300T. I’ve also been eyeing the new SUB 250T GMT, but I don’t know if I can get past the GMT hand. I prefer…

Frustrating Doxa CS experience: am I the crazy one?

I just got a Sub 300, LNIB, from a fellow WUSer. I love it. I don’t like the clasp on the Sub 300. I also have the Army, 300T, and 200T, all of which have the “ratcheting diver clasp.” I MUCH MUCH prefer the ratcheting clasp over the stamped, unadjustable clasp on the 300.

So I tried to buy a 300T bracelet on the Doxa website. It’s not available for purchase. I wrote an email to Doxa CS asking if I could buy an Army or 300T bracelet to put on my 300. They responded with some gobbledy-****…

Doxa Sub v some Seiko alternatives

I’ve been looking at a few diver style watches and keep coming back to these two. My first thought was a cheaper style turtle (SRPK01K). I could use for holidays/casual where I’d be possibly reluctant to take the Speedy. Also to have a G-Shock style mechanical watch.
Saw some of the new MM300 (SLA079(B) / SLA077(W)) and the finishing / design on these was really nice. But they were also AUD$4,500 as opposed to the SRPK01K (AUD$995).

Then I saw the Doxa Sub’s which were both cheaper…

Finally got to try on Doxa Sub’s – how to decide?

Tied on some Doxa Sub’s on the weekend. I think I prefer the 300 and the 250T (unfortunately the two more expensive options). The 300 has the retro chic and is both large and small (if that makes any sense) but the dial is smaller due to the nice curved crystal, the 250T has the GMT and dial is maybe visibly bigger than the 300.

The 300T bracelet end links just didn’t articulate as well as I’d like, and the 200T might be a little too small, but didn’t look bad.

Thoughts from the group…
