Tank Solo vs Must Value

I’ve read multiple times online that the Solo is holding its resale value better than the Must, due to its desirability for it’s more classic design and better components. Is this really the case?

Is it possible that what’s being referred to is the Must de Cartier which preceded the Solo, not the Must which followed it?

If it’s the current Must, which components are better in the Solo? I understood that the current Must has some design styling borrowed from the Louis?

Santos Galbee 1564 Ice Blue

Hi watch geeks, I’m new in this community.

Just wanted to highlight this beautiful Santos Galbee Ice Blue dial.
From what I know it is a limited edition made specifically for Europe with 2000 watches ever made.

A joy to wear!

Cartier Tank Solo Large from Chrono24

Hello, I’m purchasing my first Cartier Tank, by which I’ve been fascinated since I was an adolescent. It’ll be the most I’ve invested in a watch thus far, so I’m being (overly?) cautious about it.
There are several listed on Chrono24 from dealers in Hong Kong with apparently perfect reviews and with box and papers. These are a few examples:

Cartier Tank Solo Large strap(s)

Hello, I’m interested in purchasing a Cartier Tank Solo Large. It would be my first Cartier and I wish to know if there’s a longer high quality lizard strap to which the Cartier deployant buckle can be attached?
I’ve read that the original strap fits about a 7″ wrist, but my wrist is about 8 1/4″. Your insight will be greatly appreciated.

New rubber Santos straps from Delugs

Delugs just (re-)released rubber straps for the Santos that work with Cartier’s QuickSwitch system. Delugs apparently redesigned its strap-watch connectors to no longer conflict with Cartier patents.

$275 = not cheap. However: (1) Pricing is fairly consistent with other high-end rubber watch straps. (2) Development costs need to be covered. I’m not planning to purchase, but you never…

My First… NOW I get it…

This came this morning. I found it in the WUS classifieds.

My nephew that has the world’s greatest taste in watches, has both the Tank Louis Cartier and the Santos. While loving both of those- I’m super happy with the one i found. I do see an XL Santos in my future… maybe one with the blue dial. ;)

I can’t believe how much I love it on my wrist. Also, after reading complaints in different places about the strap/deployment thing- I guess I’m the contrarion. I love it.

Now, I get it…

Solarbeat V2 is here!

I’m surprised there wasn’t more media buzz around the release of Tank Must Solarbeat V2 since Nov 2024. I guess that worked exactly as how Cartier hoped for with a quiet release.

I myself was pretty bummed when I heard the the Tank Solarbeat was discontinued due to manufacturing constraint and issues with the movement. I always wanted one.

Then just this week I learned about the Solarbeat V2 through a friend. And of course, I had to pick one up.

So I bought a Santos!

I didn’t start out to buy a Santos. In fact I started out to by a rectangular-ish dress watch. As things usually start out I was looking at sensible candidates which started with the Hamilton American Classic Boulton! Then I decided on either the Boulton OR a Longines Dolce Vita. I was able to actually LOOK at the Boulton and thought it was slightly small and couldn’t locate a Dolce Vita in my area. Then I was like….BOTH of these are really a copy/homage of a Cartier Tank!

Of course I…
