Emergency II being serviced at BUSA

I sent my Breitling Emergency II w/ Co-Pilot in to BUSA for it’s required maintenance.

  1. The watch was received at BUSA on 14MAR2025
  2. The “diagnostics”, recommended services and quote was sent to me on 17MAR2025. I approved their service recommendations on the same day and they responded immediately that they had received my approval.
  3. I received the attached note indicated that the service was initiated on 20MAR2025. So far, very quick and responsive.

This happened?

I’m guessing I’m asking trouble if I continue to wear it as moisture compromising the watch is a possibility? Any suggestions for repair? Is this merely going to any watch maker and screwing in a new “button”? Or are we talking expensive repair? Looks minor to me but what do I know. The watch is 20 years old and I have no idea when and where this happened thanks

Near Miss

Here’s a funny story (since it turned out ok).

Yesterday I was looking closely at my Avenger II GMT. I’ve never liked the fit of the spring bars, since it looks like only the very tip of the bar fits into the hole in the lug. In my estimation, most shouldered spring bars are poorly designed. To me it looks like the shoulder is too close to the tip of the bar. I have piles of various sized single, and double shouldered spring bars, and they all look like that to me. When you contrast…
