I found a Weishi No. 1900 on eBay for $5.30 (free s/h). I checked the store, looks like an importer of general Chinese electronics. Clicked back and forth a few times to see if it refreshed and disappeared. Read/reread/re-reread the listing to see if it was just a part for the 1900. I checked that the price was USD.

Ah, what the hell, I’ll order it, they’ll see the mistake and cancel it. Then I got a shipping notice.

It got here today. Brand new…

I might feel guilty later. But certainly not right now.

Generic Springbar Tweezers + Horofix tips = total win.

Howdy all,

A while back I ordered a generic springbar tweezer from aliexpress (same kind as the ones in amazon & eBay [$12-30ish]). Naturally, the tips broke within literally the first 3 uses. No biggie, as I assumed they would fail, I just wanted to get a feel for the concept of springbar tweezers and if I liked it, then I’d spend more on the horofix or potentially Bergeon.

How do we feel about exotics?

Really a discussion about what it says in the tin. How do we feel about exotic leathers/skins in our collection?

I’m at a bit of a crossroad right now. My most recent acquisition is a Seiko Alpinist, and while I do absolutely adore it, it’s on faux gator. The look is primo, but if it’s gator, my collector side wants to say “to hell with it, I’m buying genuine gator!”.
