I have stalked WUS off an on for many years but have just recently joined and this is my first post. I have a Ball Engineer II Aviator that needs the tritium replaced. Unfortunately, I have not had any replys from the emails I sent to Ball USA website and the two ASD's I contacted both told me, to just contact Ball. It also appears Bonding Co, in HK is out of business?

Has anyone dealt with Military Watch Exchange out of Miami? Their website says they replace trit vials and…

Earlier this year, I bought a pre-owned Ball Engineer Hydrocarbon Chronoghraph (DC1016A-SJ-WH). I thought it was a great looking watch and figured I would need to get links for the bracelet or order a custom leather strap due to my 8.5" wrists. The design of the attachment for the endlinks on the bracelet has two screws/pins per side. Quite odd and with the severe downturn of the lug ends, it does not look to me like a custom strap can be ordered.

Has anyone ever done a Ball service where Ball replaced the tritium tubes?

Was it expensive?

Can watchmakers also do it provided they have got a Ball parts account.

I ask the question because I have never seen a collage of 'before and after service' photos of a Ball watch where the tubes have been replaced.

What happens to all the 10 or 15 year old Ball semi-vintage watches with tritium tubes?

Isn't this holding back the sale on the secondary market?

It is the perfect watch for me in so many ways:
