My grandfather worked for Raytheon in semiconductors after World War 2, I believe he also had some sales acumen – his job description is unclear to me and he passed before I was born. In any case, the story, as it’s been told to me and as I remember it, is that he ended up working with Bulova in some capacity on sourcing the transistors such as the CK722. The story goes…

I did not find any objection to the narrow strap when I tried it. Quite a handsome watch.

Continue readingI’m possibly interested to get this watch however what I’m a bit hesitation to pull the trigger is that it’s only gold plated, I’ve heard plenty of bad thing but I was wondering, can you guys please tell me if gold plated last long and ages well ? I know the watch is still beautiful and it also has a lot of history backing it up, being based on the original President and actually a cool cheaper alternative for a JLC Reverso or a Cartier Tank 😅…
