Haven’t posted here in god-knows-how long, but I’ve been lurking. Just wanted to share a fun story with everyone.

My grandfather worked for Raytheon in semiconductors after World War 2, I believe he also had some sales acumen – his job description is unclear to me and he passed before I was born. In any case, the story, as it’s been told to me and as I remember it, is that he ended up working with Bulova in some capacity on sourcing the transistors such as the CK722. The story goes…

Saw a Bronze MIL SHIPS limited edition in the metal today

There’s a new WATCH IT store in Indianapolis that carries G-Shock, Bulova, Seiko, Citizen.

I had them let me try on the blue-ish dial, bronze case, SW220 MIL SHIPS limited edition. Oh my, how beautiful! Something to aspire to.

I did not find any objection to the narrow strap when I tried it. Quite a handsome watch.

Question about Bulova Chairman of the Board

Hi y’all, I hope you guys are doing amazing !

I’m possibly interested to get this watch however what I’m a bit hesitation to pull the trigger is that it’s only gold plated, I’ve heard plenty of bad thing but I was wondering, can you guys please tell me if gold plated last long and ages well ? I know the watch is still beautiful and it also has a lot of history backing it up, being based on the original President and actually a cool cheaper alternative for a JLC Reverso or a Cartier Tank 😅…
