I've not seen anything capable of measuring holes smaller than .125 inch.

No matter what I did, dust in large quantity would find its way onto the dial. To me, it seemed like a static charge was being created somehow because brushing and blowing only made things worse.

Just wondering if I'm the last one to know the solution to this or maybe I need to build a clean room, ha.

Received a new Chinese NHxx movement for a build that only runs a few hours, have to set it every morning.

Has zero beat error and +- 5 sec/day.

The only thing I could guess is broken or overlubricated mainspring but being new to this hobby I'm looking for experienced opinions.

Easy enough fix for me, just gonna swap the movement and disassemble the one from the watch to learn…

The movement refuses to run now, and I'm struggling to understand what it could be.

I didn't break anything. I removed, cleaned and lubed the cap jewels to see if that would help, No luck.

Just wondering if anything jumps out as a cause to the experienced.

I was on eBay, and coming across a listing from a seller with 97%+ satisfaction rating selling an inventory of over 80 Citizen Promaster Dive watches for much less than retail; I became interested but also concerned…… Concerned that the watches may be clones of some sort.

The seller is claiming they sell liquidation lots, the listing(s) appear to have all original Citizen packaging and documentation. This however is not alleviating my thinking of some sort of Chinese…
