After so many hiccups, my Explorer 2 homage has finally arrived!!!

These are the highest-priced watches from Yahoo Auction Japan. The first one is a Nobunaga Daytona. It has a peculiar history.
The genta one is even charging the shipping cost. These onkus veblen goods are out of my imagination. I don't know what to say or what to think of them.

Do you know anyone in your close/office/hobby circles who owns this type of thing? Maybe I am just shocked seeing the prices and how ugly they look.

Well, it's a silly GMT dilemma. I have owned SBGE015 and SBGJ001, and sold both.
SBGE015- amazing timepiece, but no lume on the bezel was an eventual dealbreaker.
SBGJ001- the original Mt Iwate, I loved this watch most, but with my ageing eyes, I couldn't read the rehaut 24-hour marking without glasses.

I am struggling to choose between SBGJ237 and Planet Ocean GMT GoodPlanet. Does anyone own the GS GMT with the rotating bezel and the 43.5 PO? If you can…

• GS sales numbers are falling; however, price increases and cost reductions are helping to increase overall operating profits for Seiko.

I don't know! Maybe! It's gonna be slim, probably around 13mm or less! Size (diameter and L2), not too sure! Hands look very different!

It's been ages since I bought a watch in Melbourne! My preferred place for GS/Seiko shopping is Japan, and having a JP missus and in-laws definitely helps to get a good deal.

My 45th Bday is coming soon, so I thought I'd do some window shopping. The star of the trip is definitely the SLGB003. It's a marvelous beaut in all respects. The boutique is taking a 50% deposit now and will deliver the watch by June 1.

I have these two in mind! The Doxa is cheaper new from an AD. The Omega is about $500–$600 more used.

They are both around 42 mm in diameter. The Doxa is a little shorter L2L at 45 mm compared to the Omega's 49.5 mm L2L.

The Doxa is a bit thicker at 15.85 mm compared to the Omega's 15.1 mm.
