Hey guys, bit of a pedantic post but hoping for some clarity. Background is that this is my grandfather’s watch, and it is probably the most important watch I own. It means the world to me. A few months back, I broke the acrylic and brought it to a local watchmaker. When I got it back, I noticed that the tension ring seems to have a visible gap. I know that some tension rings are not one continuous piece but I guess my worry is that it is misset in some way that could cause the ring to fail…
