I had an annoying tiny fibre on the face of my SanMartin T5, that only I could see and indeed only I was really bothered about. So I let it run down and thought, nitrile gloves on. let’s have a look.
Bracelet off, case off, pull out crown, press the button, out pops crown, three small screws holding tiny spades into the case off, movement PT5000 flipped carefully vertical onto some fresh paper, a puff from my new puffer onto dial and inside of crystal, replace dial, replace all of the previous, grease case gasket, Timegrapher use to nudge the regulator screw, finally case back on and then demagnetise (Which I had been using wrong for the last year wondering why it never worked). Result is a clean dial and a variation of +4 to -4 depending on position, checked after demagnetising. Thank goodness for cheaper watches to have a go on, odd how you bond with these more than others you dare not touch. Cheers.
