When the SARB017 was discontinued many thought it was the end of the line for the Seiko Alpinist. This created an increased demand and higher prices for the beloved SARB017. Subsequently, Seiko introduced a new Alpinist with a new movement, and a few cosmetic changes as part of the Prospex range. Some SARB017 devotees were less than pleased with the new offering. Now that it has been some time since the release of the new Alpinist, I am interested to see what the Seiko forum thinks…
