165.024 Crystals for CB or HF case. Any difference?

Three part question really. . I’m asking if anyone knows if there are any differences in the crystals, or tension rings of either CB or HF case.
I’ve searched and searched but the only difference I’ve found mentioned was in the dome shape between the Factory service ones and the original ones. What size were they?
Can anyone elaborate and supply part numbers as I’m looking for an original and not a service one unless it’s strongly advised against an NOS one because they go brittle? Maybe…

Seamaster 165.024 evaluation

I have an opportunity to buy this SM 300. I’ve posted a few questions previously and this is what I know about the watch.

Obviously the hands are not original, but the originals are still with the watchmaker as I just found out, but need relume but the seconds hand is MIA.

The dial is original and nice except for the lume has been worn/ cleaned off. But it still looks good as is. Hence my relume question in my other post.

It’s a USA model with a recently serviced 550 movement with a 241…

“To lume or not to Lume”. That is the question SM300

I’m all for originality but in this case may consider a re-lume of dial and hands,………. or just the hands.
My SM300 dial has clearly seen better “lume days” but what’s the general consensus.?
I’m thinking of sending this and my hands to “James” for a makeover.
My thoughts are, it’s best to keep the original dial as-is, but want to make the watch more presentable. IE polish the crystal, service the movement and have it re-lumed, or just the hands .
It seems the SM300 dials have great…

Vintage Chrono

First off. I’m sorry for the terrible photos. Im asking the seller to get me better ones as I type this.
As a newbie to the watch collecting hobby, I’m quickly learning to walk slowly as I’ve made some good, but some bad quick decisions.
I was sent this photo of an interesting watch that I’d like viewpoints on.
I’m not concerned of a scam because I’ve already met the gentleman but this watch came up after my visit. He lives too far to pop over to his house at the moment.

1) The dial has the…

What’s the reserve ?

As my collection grows, I find myself asking questions, and enjoying learning about these vintage Omegas. I decided to put full manual winds into each of these today., 1950,1960,1970. I'll monitor the reserve power. I did notice each watch seems t…

Screw down crown question

I've got a Big Crown SM60. Everything is original. When I close the crown, it only takes about 2/3rds of a turn to go from open to closed. Is this a normal amount to expect from this style watch. I've attached a pic of the crown released and …

Seamaster 60 crown question.

Could anyone tell me where to look for obtaining original parts for my Seamaster 60.
