Technical question please…

How long can rubber seals (gaskets, o-rings) last when silicone grease is used to protect it? In other words, if a watch is worn regularly and normally, how long does silicone grease extend the life of the watch’s gasket and o-ring?

Anyone see a gasket inside the tube?

FYI: There is NO gasket inside the crown or stem. So I wonder if there is a gasket inside the tube?

If a watch has been sitting in a store (and unworn) for over 10 years, does it still need servicing?

Like, would the watch need new gaskets, etc? (Just wondering since a watch shop I visit do have some old watches that have been unsold for 5 to 10 years).

I know, it’s a technical question but was wondering if anyone would have insights.

Even though your manual wind watch has a long power reserve of more than 72 hours++, do you still wind up your watch everyday (to the point of ‘topping it off’ daily)?
