Looking to buy a Bubbleback in the near future that I’d be wearing regularly. I’m learning watchmaking so servicing it won’t be an issue (eventually). Forum opinions on the movements don’t seem great. Is there a consensus on what calibers would be most reliable? Ideally one that I stand a reasonable chance of finding parts for without having to cannibalize another one.

I’ve been collecting watches for a while, and a few Omegas. The smaller size case of the Byzantiums (7806.30.32) caught my eye, and I was thinking of building a watch out of Ebay parts and having a custom dial with Tritium indices made. I was wondering if the 3 level 2500d would fit in this case even though it’s supposed to be thicker. The 3903 case I think? I don’t want to settle for the a, b, or c variants of this movement.
