Homage Dilemma…

I don’t crave homage watches but I’ve recently run across the Rhula. It’s another one of those Euro-Asian collaborations from Germany where their watches are designed & assembled in Germany with largely Asian parts. The Rhula brand has roots back to 1929 and it has been revived under the Pointtec corporate umbrella. Pointtec also offers Zeppelin, Iron Annie & Bauhaus watches and used to produce Junkers. They have introduced some reasonably priced quartz Rolex style homage…

ST1901 Chronograph movements — Reliable or Not?

I’ve found an online deal for a chronograph watch and I very much like the design. HOWEVER, It has the Chinese ST1901 mechanical movement. I ‘m leery of the movement because I was burned a couple of years. ago. I ordered a new ST1901 movement watch and it would stop cold about four hours after winding every time I put it on.
