Well another eBay find after a bit of "Vintage Casio Watch" trawling.

I'm seriously loving the 1980's Casio's, and this one is in about as good a state as you could find for a 45 year old watch!

It should just need a new battery and reset, it's the seller's late husband's and they say they haven't the time or knowledge to do a battery themselves.

Lucky me then!

It's in the UK so hopefully it won't take too long to arrive.

I found out something last night that I hadn't been aware of so wondered if any of you aficionados had any knowledge ?

So I sold one of my 5600C's just because I had double of the 901's. The buyer let me know last night that it had arrived safely, and then proceeded to tell me that what I'd sold him wasn't a 5600C but a 5600-1V! Here's a screenshot of his message:

This one is coming from the States with the eBay GSP, it will probably take a while knowing eBay.

What's happened to me, I've bid on and won an actual working watch!! There won't be anything to do apart from a possible light clean.

No needing to fix it or install a new battery, no need to make a huge long, step by step thread for you lot to trawl through!

This apparently "doesn't turn on" according to the seller. I think his reply to my question about if it had been tested with a battery didn't come back well translated by the eBay system, (the watch is coming from Spain), so I'm still not sure if he tried a new battery or not.

However, he also included a discount buy it now offer. Him doing this has admittedly made me think this could be a bit of a gamble, but I went for it anyway just because it was a great price, (just over £30).
