Evenin’, I appreciate there is always a lot of talk about Rolex pricing and secondary markets… but I have just had a call after a rather long wait (>12 months) for a Sub Date… and I am not sure if I can be arsed.

I might be because I am in the middle of a kitchen refit and seeking a new car, but this suddenly feels like an awful lot of money. I have a 2008 GMT which I have never looked back on and if I am honest should have picked up a Sub as a second purchase back then… hindsight tells me that £4k was an absolute bargain. I am not sure if in 10 years or so I will be looking back fondly on a >£9k purchase for the 2025 sub date.

Has Rolex over stretched its pricepoint? The secondary markets seem to have cooled and supply may be isnt such an issue, I have not relation to talk about with the AD so guessing things are trickling through…
