Bought my current car (Porsche Macan S) in Feb ‘22 and was pleasantly surprised at the time that the insurance wasn’t too much more than my outgoing Audi S4 Avant.

3 years after I’m facing another 20% increase and the renewal quote from Direct Line is for around £1650.

I’m mid 50’s, car parked on drive, SE London and one minor speeding conviction (3 points)

Anyone else seeing massive increases this year and have found any decent alternatives?

I know that running nice cars can be expensive but I also got a quote for a BMW M3 Touring and it was almost half the price at £900. #confused

Interesting to hear other people’s experiences.
