What do you think is Seiko’s best looking diver? I have a lot, but this is my fave – only problem, too small for me!
Continue readingHere’s my missus’ weekend watch, the 2205-0760, first hi-beat professional lady diver – 1970’s sometimes called Baby Willard, but was actually higher grade professional watch with better movement & better crown system. I wish this was made exactly as is only scaled to 42mm – I think proportions and aesthetic are perfect.
Watchco Seamaster 300
I’d love to hear opinions, see pictures, and know about servicing on the Watchco 300 seamasters. I know they were contentious when launched by the Australian company, an Omega service centre who purchased lots of NOS/new parts from Omega and assembled them into new watches. Some think fake, some franken, some not sure. Though not made in Bienne or retailed by an Omega dealer, they were all completely authentic Omega parts, and I’ve heard Omega actually will service them if sent in. Original…

Hi Guys
saw a lovely classically styled ladies (30mm ish) dive watch today – called ladyscaf, claiming 300m 890ft WR – and wondered about buying for the missus. I wasnt sure so thought I’d come back later. But googling found next to nothing, except the big brother Eberhard Scafograf goes for huge sums???? This lady watch was very modestly priced. Stupidly I only took a pic of the movement (ETA?) below but it is identical to my eye to the Scafograph except for size

I am a big Omega fan and used to wearing big Omegas – Ploprof, PO chrono, Seamaster 300diver. However I am rather taken by the 39.5mm PO – I have big wrists but is didn’t seem too small when I tried it and I liked it: compact, stubby, but cool.

I read that it is actually a 40.5mm case and 38mm bezel and Omega decided on speccing it as somewhere in between those two: 39.5
