Is there anyone here with expertise on Casio Marlin digital watches? In 1981 I got my first Casio. An H-101 (W-750) Marlin. I read that the model H-101 came in 1980, yet more than one claims that they bought the watch in 1979. Does anyone know if it was already on the market in 1979? What would you have chosen – and why.. I came in a weak moment to let my DW-5000 R go because I was a little unsure if I wanted to have it in my collection. Got a trade in for another classic Casio. Now I can buy a similar DW-5000 R. I can also buy a good H-101 Marlin (W-150) for the same price. (Very nice and intact) Same model I had for many years until I lost it.
