Man, I’m really liking this new 40mm MK1 Automatic. Lower down on my wish list were a few military style homage watches resembling Hamilton’s Khaki Field watches, but I have now crossed them all off the list. Other than its attractive laid-out dial (and no date – good), IMO, this MK1 really checks all the boxes for me because it finally has ALL 3 ELEMENTS that I deem necessary for a proper field watch:

Ditched: Fake Croc Brown Leather ‘Old Man Strap’
From a few months ago, I bought the girlfriend a purple crosshatch patterned leather strap so she could ditch the fake crocodile brown leather ‘old man strap’ for her second vintage Omega. She calls it her ‘Birkin’ strap (luxury women’s handbag brand). The watch definitely looks fresher and 20 times better IMO.
