While in Houston visiting family over the holiday, I couldn't resist a quick peek into Hal Martin's, a well-known preowned watch purveyor from whom I have bought before. Specifically, I had noted that they had a couple of Type XX's in the shop. (One of them was a limited-edition gold Transatlantique on a gold bracelet and with a lovely blue dial for a price that means I won't be talking about it any more in this post.)
