Q. How many of you have done rebuys and how many of you haven't?
After nearly thirty years collecting watches I made my first rebuys ever within the past month. First is a 2265.80 Seamaster that I had previously owned for years but traded it off. Second is a Bulova Precisionist which I had also owned for years but sold for some forgotten reason, both of these purchased after having seen them on the main WRUW thread which the viewing of always lightens my wallet.

Case in point: I recently received a Seiko monster for Father's Day and after the first week it was running at a respectable +7 sec/day but now is running at -4 sec/day which is still great for Seiko…

Purchased this 43mmm Hydroconquest and as I always do with new watches I wore it for 72 consecutive hours ( including showers!

) at which time it was at +22 seconds fast or a little over +7 per day. This is good for a non-COSC movement, IMO.
Rubber strap is comfortable with a nice size clasp, it's one of those cut-to-fit straps but I took my time and got a proper fit with the clasp nicely centered.
Not really a fan of the two-tone look but this one is done nicely and the gold...

A recent thread got me to thinking about how my fellow WUS members feel about trusting new members when it comes to buying/selling watches here. I don't buy or sell much here, maybe half a dozen times or so in ten years, so I'm interested in hearing if the members that do frequent the for sale sections would trust a brand new member who has little or no post history and no transaction history as far as a buyer/seller. Comments that support your choice are welcome!
