This is not a troll thread. I am genuinely curious why people like a patina on their bronze watch. It's not my cup of tea, but then I'm sure some of my preferences don't resonate with others. What draws/drew you to such a feature? You never know, I might be persuaded.

I knew this. I abide by it. But the other night I used a magnifier app on my phone to admire the font on a watch. The font was perfect. But the alignment of the 6 o'clock applied indices was not. Not off by a lot, but now I can't unsee it. So unless you work on watches, spare yourself the pain and forego the loupe. It is not your friend.

I just received a lovely Orient Star Contemporary with a salmon dial. I got out my pin pusher and started to adjust the bracelet. I hadn't ever had such a difficult time getting a pin out, but finally I did. I sized it and put the pins back in, but they just slid in without any friction, and came out with a light tap. I stood up, and on the sofa were three tiny collars. I guess I should consider myself lucky. But why? I've put it aside and will tangle with it tomorrow. Beautiful watch...
