I'd picked up this 55QS a few months ago. It was a great price but two of the lugs had been badly damaged. This case has a resin core and a steel top and back. It seemed like the bracelet, which I don't have, was twisted and the lugs broke out. I can only speculate but if someone had installed the bracelet with single shoulder spring bars than they could not have removed it with a typical spring bar tool and may have resorted to breaking the case to remove it.

Casio 55QS-24 lug repair

Well I've got a little of my thought process and planning for this project so far documented in my B5000TR Brainstorming post.

The envisioned watch will be a mostly polished silver/gray bare metal bracelet and bezel with a B5000D crystal and black B5000TR pushers. So I'm dubbing it the B5000TD; the Titanium D!
